Bihar Government has started a great scheme of ‘Student Credit Card’ to help the economically weaker students who have not achieved higher education. Through ‘Student Credit Card’, students from Bihar can now read and go anywhere in the country. Addressing a program organized in Patna, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish kumar said that the students studying in any college in the country can now take advantage of the Student credit card. Giving more details about one of the seven credit cards set out for the state, Nitish Kumar said, “The benefits of this credit card will be done by Bihar students who pass matriculation from districts adjacent to Jharkhand, Bengal and UP. Will be able to pick up. ‘ He said, “Since the distribution of this card has been started through education finance corporation, the number of applications for higher education has increased.
Loans are being made available through cards only for not just technical, other common courses.
When this scheme was launched?
It was launched at 2nd October 2016.
What is the purpose?
Through this scheme, the state government wants to fulfill many objectives. First, he wants to improve literacy figures in the state for higher education. A large part of the students in the state leaves studies after 10th-12th. Second, the government wants to promote talent present in the state. By 2021, the target is to bring students from all over the state under the scheme. Third, the government wants that the student should not have to cross the bank for the loan. The loan process in this scheme is completed in about a month.
Who can get the benefit of the plan?
The benefit of the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme (BSCCS) can be given to such students who have passed the 12th examination. Under this scheme, poor students get loans for further studies from the bank. The special feature of this scheme is that the state government owns a loan under it.
How much loan will you get?
Under this scheme students can get loan upto Rs 4 lakhs from the bank. The state government has tied up with it for more than a dozen banks.
How to apply?
This scheme is also good because students can apply through app or portals. They do not have to go round the bank branches. Student has to apply at https://www.7nishchay-yuvaupmission.bihar.gov.in

- Certificate of admission in Higher Education Institute
- photos of all students, parents and garter
- Residence certificate
- Family Income Certificate and Form 16
- Six month’s bank statement of parents
- Recognition of identity card (Aadhaar card, Passport, Voter identity card, driving licence etc.)
